Electrum is the brand new, and long anticipated (first in over 8 years) solo release from Bassist/Vocalist/Songwriter and Producer Alan Davey. Alan is extremely busy all year round creating and producing the best in Psychedelic Progressive rock with his own groups. After leaving Hawkwind in 2007 (joined in 84) Alan concentrated on his passion, which is creating music, bands, and bringing together artists and fellow ex band members and musicians to create arguably the best Psychedelic music around.
Alan's wears his influences with honor, and pays homage to his mentors and friends and fellow ex-Hawkwind bandmates Lemmy, Huw, Nik, and many more (proudly) alongside ex-Motorhead Drummer Lucas Fox and Deviants/Pink Fairies/Hawkwind/Eno Lead Guitarist Paul Rudolph in the current incarnation of the legendary Pink Fairies as well as a stunning repetoire of Albums, projects, and solo efforts where Alan wrote, creates, and plays producer all at once. Alan also finds time leading the official Lemmy Kilmister Authorized Motorhead tribute band"Ace of Spades". Around the time of Lemmys death, Alan performed Bass/Vocal duties on the final Headcat13 album, which features Alan along with Danny B Harvey who was the guitarist with the Motorhead / Stray Cats supergroup HeadCat. Alan Davey has had a incredible 40 year plus career, and it would appear that hes just getting started. Gunslinger, Djinn, Bedouin, and the highly successful Hawkestral project are just a few names and groups that have gotten some traction in the past decades with Alan at the helm, and his latest solo offering "Electrum" is a capstone to this profound career. Moving to our new label, Savant Guarde Records, Alan has decided to debut his new work with a label that can give the music the grace and artistic display and countenance the music deserves and to please the fans as well.
